Powerful, reliable and flexible disk encryption program that lets you create encrypted disk partitions (drive letters) to protect your confidential information. Private Disk hides your programs and data, and restricts access to them. Dekart Private Disk features an innovative Disk Firewall mechanism - a unique technology that makes your files as safe as possible. Disk Firewall shields files from viruses and other malware even if your antivirus or antispyware program fails to protect the system. Now you can create a white-list of applications, and only these programs will be allowed to access the contents of the encrypted drive. This feature protects your data from external threats, as well as internal ones: group leaders can be sure that employees are able to access sensitive information while doing their job, but they cannot copy it, or use third-party software to alter corporate data. Private Disk extends the life of your USB flash drive, by applying caching mechanisms whenever the ccontents of the drive are processed. Your data are now truly portable, as you can encrypt your information on USB flash drives, CDs, DVDs (etc.) and work with the protected files on any computer without installing the software locally. The reliability of the encrypted container is enhanced by the built-in backup option, which allows you to create compressed backups of the contents of the drive, and of the encryption key. This makes disaster recovery a simple process. All the information protected by Dekart Private Disk is transparently encrypted with Dekart's NIST-certified implementation of AES 256-bit - the strongest encryption algorithm available today.
